Sadly neglected blog

My blog has been sadly neglected over the past couple of months and I feel there must be a reason for this.  I have been making art, but for some reason have not really had the inclination to publish anything on my blog, this has been the same with my facebook pages.

I feel I have lost my way a little in my creative endeavours and need to rethink as I am not progessing artistically. There are lots of ideas floating around in my mind, but perhaps I need to go back to basics and just draw and draw and see what happens.

There is another 29 faces challenge in February which I will be joining in with and I have also signed up for a workshop with SL Scheibe which starts in January, both of which I am looking forward to.

Just a few festive little characters for you.

  1. Adorable snowmen and critters! That very sweet first fellow is terrific. Nice to see you! I think we all go through these kinds of ups and downs. The good news is, usually when you get over the hump you've improved in some way. Even if that means taking time off!

Is there some style or subject you've always wanted to draw? Sometimes sticking to one thing and really seeing improvement can be great for inspiration. Of course you have to figure the first attempts will be a bit rocky. (I did this - still doing, really- with tiny cities and tiny houses and faces.) :)

  2. Hi Linda, I've been feeling exactly the same as you! I haven't added any new art to my blog since September - and don't know where I'm going with my art. Maybe it's the time of year (short, dark, gloomy days! - and low energy light bulbs!!!) I LOVE that you are selling your art now, so please keep doing that! :)) Hope you feel more inspired soon. Have a wonderful Christmas, Lindsay x

  3. There come times when we just feel fed up with what we are doing and need some rest. Your pieces are always so colorful and joyful. Take your time and see what comes out. :)
