Scribble Picnic - Cabin

Scribble Picnic got off to a good start with octopus last week thanks to our host Michael.  This week we have cabin.  I would love to look out of my window and see this whimsical cabin at the bottom of my garden, perhaps the fairies could live in the top storey!

Last week I dragged out my coloured pencils, this week it was my Copic markers on Bristol board.

There will be lots of different cabins over on the Scribble Picnic blog, just click on the icon on the right.

  1. This is wonderful, Linda. And I could certainly take a holiday in that upper space of your cabin, hanging out with the fairies and such. :) I like the "Z" window on your door. Any special meaning?

  2. That is so funny, here I am thinking I will be the first to comment and Alexandra not only beat me to it, but asked the very same question I was jsut about to propose! :)

Linda, this is so whimsical and adorable. I love too how you mentioned it being at the end of the garden for you to look at, vs. actually living in. Love the idea of the fairies too on the top deck, as it were. (Maybe that's something to explore for the fairy theme? Hmmm...)

Well, as it is, great minds think alike: I actually did a very similar style chimney which you will see on the blog in the morning (set to go up 10am your time).

As I'm on Instagram, will be sure to hop over there too. Thank you so much for the lovely write up, artwork and side bar promotion of this art collective. I can't wait to see who join the picnic this week. :)

P.S. Forgot to mention, that I particularly love how you've rendered that little the basket of flowers. :)

  10. I think the fairies would be happy to take up residence there. What a great whimsical home they would have.
