My interpretation for the challenge from Creative Tuesdays of Spy caused me much angst this week.
You know when you have a picture in your mind but it doesn't quite translate to paper, well that was me yesterday! My idea was to have a dog burying his bone and being spied on by another. Mind you I was watching the Olympics and cheering on Team GB at the same time.
The dog should have had its head fully in the ground and ended up with it out and looking like he is wearing a wig (yes that's supposed to be fur and an ear)! Not quite sure who that crazy animal is looking through the fence either. Have realised I am not a fan of painting with green and could not get the right shade I wanted, hence the yellow and orange animals.
Although really not happy with this, in the true spirit of this co-op I am posting (even if to give people a laugh at the mullet!). Team GB did oustandingly well on Saturday though and I realised I can't do two things at the same time.
If you pop over to Mr T's blog you will see other interpretations of Spy.
I love this! I'm not sure how it was different in your head than the way it turned out on paper, but I think it's adorable! Such a cheeky spying dog, lol.
ReplyDeleteLove this interpretation of spy. Of course he's spying on the other dog's bone! You did a great job, be happy with it!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is really cute. What a great touch the slobbering tongue is. Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I get it, I really do.No worries on the green and yes, I totally get this. Great idea and one of which i was thinking something akin too but couldn't make it work...in my mind that is! (Still, as yet, need to do someting and also had angst about it!). LOL. TY Linda.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, GB has done superbly. THIRD place! Way to go. now, if only I had seen ANy of it thus far. I jsut read about it on the internet after the event.
so cute! love your vivid colors!
ReplyDeletecheers, dana
Oh Linda~ You are so hard on yourself... I just adore this one, and love all the colors you used, and didn't for a minute think your cute dog was wearing a wig...
ReplyDeleteYou fence is perfect... I used a fence in mine this week and struggled with it.
It's really cute and sometimes what comes out on paper is BETTER than what you imagined! Not sure I will have time to create "spy" this week but wanted to comment...
ReplyDeleteRita
It came out cute! You can tell its hair and an ear. I love the polka dots.
ReplyDeletethis is a fun piece! the orange one makes me think of a cat - maybe because of Garfield - but whatever he is, he is very intense!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely darling, Linda. I love your creative ideas. Tee hee Adore the doggie. :D
ReplyDeleteOh i think it's totally adorable...and I have this scene going on around my house...my cat is ALWAYS spying on my dog. I think she secretly wants to be friends!
ReplyDeletegreat illo as always!
Oh dogs and their bones. I love this! And if my dog catches me watching where she's 'burying' or hiding a bone she grabs it and runs to a new location. And love the whimsy of the polka dotted doggies!!
