Another little animal theme over on the Creative Tuesdays blog for this coming Tuesday. So still experimenting and trying to come to grips with watercolours I came up with this little kitten. I hope you like him, although I think I gave him rather a long tail, artistic licence and all that. Perhaps he will grow into it!
Looking for other Little Critters then check out the CT blog.
I think your cat is adorable and his tail very regal. He obviously lives in a castle :D
ReplyDeleteHe's just too cute for words. I love orange tabby cats as we had a lovely one years ago named Rustina. He was Rusty until (she) had a litter of kittens. We were not very good with the sex of our cats.. HaHa. But after the kittens...She was Rustina.
ReplyDeleteAbout the tail...if he get in trouble...just hang him up by his cute tail.
PS I think you are really getting the feel of your watercolors... This piece really show the flow.
ReplyDeleteREgal indeed, Linda. I love his expression and th emovement. You can almost imagine him bouncing along. The painting works well for that. Your fluid side is something so different to what we've all come to know and love but equally as expressive and talented. Thank you for carrying on experimenting with our themes. Wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute Linda! Love the splashy look and
ReplyDeletethe big blue eyes! :D
And I had to laugh about "Perhaps he will grow
into it!" :D :D :D
Have a beautiful day!

ReplyDeletelooks great to me! the tail seems the right proportion. love the blue of the kitty's eyes.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
The splashes show the action and energy of the kitten well. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI love the looseness of the watercolours and the motion of the cat. He is running right towards me. Great painting.
Blessings,
Janis
Hi Linda, love the colors you used. The kitty's blue eyes compliment the body beautifully. And I've seen kittens with long tails and as you are the artist you could have painted the kitten with a raccoon tail. :-)
ReplyDeleteKITTEH! I agree, great use of complimentary colors with the blue eyes and orange body, the character design of your cat is great, and the splashes of watercolor paint are beautiful. Yay ^_^
