Trees are the subject of this weeks Creative Tuesdays challenge. After I had finished my original entry below (keep off the grass), I thought of Aesop's Fables, especially The Fox and the Crow. So I set about coming up with a suitable fun drawing with a tree in it (well a bit of a tree!) to illustrate the story.
The meaning behind the fox and the crow is basically a warning against listening to flattery. A hungry fox sees a crow overhead with a piece of tasty cheese in its beak. The fox flatters the crow about his wonderful singing and as soon as the crow goes to sing, the cheese drops and the fox eats it up.
Over the next couple of days, why not pop over to Mr Toast's blog to see what others have done.
