Creative Tuesdays - Shoes

The challenge this time on Creative Tuesdays is Shoes.  Well as a gal can't have enough of them, I wanted to draw something with lots of legs.  Originally the centipede came to mind, but all those feet! Too daunting. So the next thing was the octopus indulging in her favourite hobby, although I am not sure that the turtle is too happy. (Mr T, I know you did one for icecream, so I hope you don't mind a female version!)

Handmade art book of whimsical birds finished

My little art book of whimsical birds is now finished.  I found this so much fun to do and now have a little display of my art as well. These are all of the 10 birds.  As they started as quick drawings I can now develop them further in other projects.

And displayed.

Amongst other things, I have 10 cats drawn and ready to be painted in the same style.

Creative Tuesdays - Pattern

The latest challenge from Creative Tuesdays is Pattern. As valentines day is coming up, and to make Mr T happy, I have drawn a heart, well a couple really.  The actual pattern is made up of circles (couldn't get away completely from my dots!) and curved lines.

This sort of detailed line work I find so very relaxing and do love doing it.  Looking at it on screen, I think the lower areas need to be a little darker to stop it being top heavy.
