Creative Tuesdays - Mittens

This week the challenge over on Creative Tuesdays is mittens.  My abiding memory of mittens is where they were attached to a long piece of ribbon so that they could be strung through your coat arms to stop you losing them as a child.

Again my piece did not turn out as I had envisaged, as I had all sorts of ideas, but am learning just to go with what my pen decides it wants to do, and as you can see I am in festive mood at the moment.

Marker pens on bristol board. Pop over to Mr T's blog for lots of other lovely warming mittens.

  1. Super cute, with an assortment of very fine accessories, as usual! (I rarely have any idea how a final image will look. Often I can't even manage to stick to the original colors I chose. But things [usually] work out.) :)

  4. I love this it's so cute! And in Cartoon land, you can be forever friends with Snowmen since they don't ever have to melt. Great stuff --!!

  5. Linda, how cute...and adore snowmen and you'll see, once again we think alike on these themes.

It's amazing the expressions you get on your characters. Love it.

  7. Wonderful as always, dear Linda. Very darling indeed and, yes, festive!

I love what you say here too in regards to your creative process: "but am learning just to go with what my pen decides it wants to do."
Love that spontaneity, and you know, I can so agree -- I often end up with pieces that end up quite different to what i expected, but not in this mittens one. :)
