Striped is the order of the day over at Creative Tuesdays for next Tuesday. Perhaps because I am in the process of uncluttering due to putting my property up for sale and moving, I wanted to get back to some basics and just use pen and ink. So I used my old fashioned dip pen and some burnt umber acrylic ink.
Lots of striped pieces of art are already showing over on Mr T's blog, so go and take a look.
Thank you for welcoming me to Creative Tuesdays! Love the owl illustration. The burnt umber ink works so well.

This is so cool! Feathers often have striped patterns, but you don't always realize it. This owl is very sweet, and the designing of the lines, stripes, and feathers is exquisite. Yay :-D
ReplyDeleteLinda, totally love this piece. Perfect incorporation of stripes in a very whimsical piece. Clever indeed. Thank you! Nice to see a use of pencils and old burnt umber ink as well.
