Face 29 ... Cereal card, papers, marker pens and acrylics
Woo hoo, all 29 faces completed in 29 days. As a result of this challenge.....
Found that I really did not like painting my faces in acrylic onto gesso covered card and that I also am not very good at painting backgrounds either, so resorted to using found papers.
Have fallen in love again with Golden fluid acrylics, I had forgotten how lovely they are to use.
With the pressure of completing to a tight schedule I did not embellish or finish as I possibly would have liked to.
Thank you to everyone who has kindly commented on my faces, I am still visiting everyone else and will continue to do so over the coming month. Also a huge thank you to Ayala Art for hosting this again.
Lovely faces in those bright colors!! Love the backgrounds you used. So clever!! You have a great way of simplifying the portraits without looking childish and I think they are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI have finished my 29 faces, so I now have some time to visit all the participants of the challenge :-)
Have a great sunday!

Yea! You did it! And they all look so bright and colorful. I love your style.
ReplyDeleteYou could always go back and add more embellishments if you want to...not that I think they need it but you mentioned it. I often let things sit for a while and then go back and add to them.
Ooh, so pretty! I really like that first one with the almost 3/4 view. Great hair!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on completing 29 Faces Linda! WooHoo! They have all been a pleasure to see and I have loved every single one of them They have all had such sweet faces, I could envision them as dolls. Have a great week :0) Mo x
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! congrats on finishing 29 Faces! I love the hair on your first girl. So blue and funky! It's been a pleasure viewing all of your faces. You have a super style of art that's whimsical, bright and fun. Really nice to see. I'll be back to visit and see more of your art :)
ReplyDeleteI just love your faces, Linda. LOVE the first and third one the most. Especially the polka dots!! :) Well done.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations of finishing! This is a fine collection. You should hang them all in the same room so they can talk to each other. And it's really cool that you discovered/rediscovered some things about media. You never know until you try something.
ReplyDeletei have seen your faces pop up on facebook and there just beautiful
