Fabric whimsical houses collage

Having signed up prior to Christmas for Cathy Bluteau's workshop on 'It takes a village' and being in my current fabric mood I decided to replace the paper collage aspect with fabric and sewing.

It is embellished with buttons and seed beads and is still a work in progress I feel.  I may try some fabric paint in the background but need to test on some other fabric first!

Creative Tuesdays - Trio

Trio is the latest theme for Creative Tuesdays.  As my property has now sold, I am in that stressful position of having to find somewhere else to purchase, not just around the corner but over 100 miles away.

So with all this going on my trio had to be houses.  I painted these on recycled map paper and used a cotton bud for the flowers.  I wouldn't mind finding a house like one of these to live in!

There are already a few trio's to look at over on Mr T's blog.

I am now back to the maps and trawling over house details.  Why is it that houses never look as good in the flesh as the photographs! It's usually the other way round in art. I need all the best vibes coming my way to find something I love pretty quickly that is not outside my budget.

Sunday Postcard Art - Doors

Doors is the challenge for this week's Sunday Postcard Art.

I am enjoying these weeky challenges and again I have used recycled cereal box card, envelope paper, wrapping paper, acrylics and sharpie pen.

Open some other doors at the Sunday Postcard Art blog.

Handmade art book of whimsical houses

My art book for April is whimsical houses.  The aim is to do one of these art books a month on a different topic, each with 10 drawings.  So far I have done birds, cats and inspirational ladies.  These houses were all done with COPIC markers.

Hope you like them.
