Watercolour sketches

As I don't use watercolours very much, I thought I would try some characters out using this medium.  When working on them, although they were quick, I remember that I hate waiting for the paint to dry. These are all ACEO size using watercolour pencils as paints.

What do you think?  I don't seem to be able to get the vibrancy of colour, which I love, as I can with my trusty acrylics.  I think I might try a comparison and do these characters again but in acrylics.

  1. Hi there lovely Linda. They may to be as vibrant as usual but they adorable. Would love to see the comparison. Xo

  2. They may not be as vibrant as your acrylic work but they're still just as cute.

  4. Adorable animals! I agree the vibrancy is not the same, but that's ok! I think they look great! Very nicely done. I've been doing loads of ATCs myself lately. They make for many fun, tiny adventures. :)
