This weeks's Creative Tuesdays theme is Polka Dots, right up my street. I will explain below what I wanted this to show, in case I did not quite capture it.
Ok, I wanted to show him losing his spots as he was skate boarding. I think I may have added too many spots to his body, but then I am a sucker for polka dots.
Drop over the Mr T's blog to see other dotty things.

Creative Tuesdays - Beatle song
The Beatles's song 'Octopus's Garden' was my choice for this weeks Creative Tuesdays challenge. This was on their Abbey Road Album back in 1969 and written by Ringo Star.
I won't quote all the lyrics to Octopus's garden, but this is one small part:
"I'd like to be
Under the sea
In an octopus' garden
In the shade."
Although I remember Beatle mania very well, I was not a great fan of all of their music but did like this one in particular.
If you pop over to Mr T's blog you will see what other Beatles songs have come alive in picture.

Creative Tuesdays - Christmas in July
No I have not gone barmy, Christmas in July, that is the subject of this week's Creative Tuesdays challenge. Here in the UK we have not had any summer yet, as it has been raining constantly, although the forecast is now for sunny summer weather. Yay!
So thinking about the sun and holidays this is my interpretation, beach huts on the sand.
Why not pop over to Mr T's blog to see what other lovely people have come up with.

Summer of Color - Mint Chocolate Chip
This week's Summer of Color is Mint Chocolate Chip, my favourite!
I have kept to the theme of using recycled cereal box card and envelope paper and painting a cupcake.
Again I am doing a second one of throwing acrylic ink onto paper and drawing over it. This does not show in the photo but I used pearlescent mint green ink and it really shines. beautifully I would never has put these colours together and find that I love it, so thanks Kristin.

Recycled Dogs
After my recycled cats, I did say that I could feel some recycled dogs coming up. These are again on recycled toilet roll holders and recycled papers.
I am linking these to Artists in Blogland Show and Tell Week 10. I can't believe that it has been 10 weeks since Marcia started this fabulous blog. Check it out!

Recycled Cats
I have been recycling again this week. Toilet roll holders, cardboard packaging, old book pages and the insides of envelopes. There is something really liberating about painting on recycled material, perhaps it's because it does not cost anything other than time, and you lose nothing if it doesn't work out and you want to throw it away. I also find that these are really quick to do once the card is ready.
After my recycled owls I have come up with my recycled cats.

Creative Tuesdays - Kitchen
This week Creative Tuesdays challenge is Kitchen. Well, as my kitchen is tiny and I am now not one to spend a lot of time cooking, used to be, but not at the moment, I pondered on what I was going to do. With halloween just around the corner I thought, witches kitchen and the following bit of fun was drawn. My witches are not nasty ones, just a bit batty.

What have I been doing this week?
Well, I have joined the oh so talented and lovely Jane Davenport's Supplies Me on line workshop. This class looks fabulous, with such lovely other participants. I have not yet managed to start on my first assignment but am hoping to do that this weekend.
My beach huts bag arrived from Zazzle, it was a good test as I realised that paler items on frabric are not so vibrant. But I think I will open a shop once I can get my head around all the correct sizings (pixels and ppi's), its another world!
I am part of a fortnightly co-op called Creative Tuesdays, and next Tuesday's entry is Kitchen, so I have had my thinking cap on and have been working on that, this is a sneaky little bit of my entry still being worked on, but I don't want to give the whole game away. Visit my blog next Tuesday to see the finished item.
Finally, I painted four ACEO size owls.
Hop over and visit the fabulous Artists in Blogland to catch up on everyone elses week.
Good weekend to everyone and my thoughts and best wishes to those who are were affected or are still suffering from the terrible 9/11.

What's been happening this week- Ideas and moving forward
Now being back at work from a two-week break, I found that I have done lots of doodling but nothing serious except think about how I would like to move forward. I am testing the waters with Zazzle and have put my beach huts below on a tote bag to see what it will look like. When it arrives I will let you know. Have any of you had any experiences with Zazzle as I am thinking of opening a store.
I am also thinking of painting some ACEO cards with some of my owls on to try and sell on ebay to see what happens. I did manage to prepare them this week ready for painting.
Some of you might suggest opening up an etsy store, but I don't think I am quite ready for that yet and like everyone else all this has to be fitted around other work and home commitments. Why is there not more than 24 hours in a day!
This post is for my show and tell Saturday on Artists in Blogland.
Happy weekend everyone!
